EVALUATION 4: What have you learnt from your audience

During the process of creating our final product, it was important that our work was posted on blogger. this platform was a great as i was able to embed videos from YouTube, slide share, prezi and upload my own edited images using paint. i was able to present my research, planning and evaluation to show my assessor my progress in creating my product with my group. it also helped me look back on my research on other professional music videos, digi pack, adverts and products to help me use similar conventions to help my product look presentational. 

I used power point as I felt as I felt it was a great way of presenting some of my progress and showing my research on other media products. i was able to use slide share which is an online form of power point and embedded it onto my blog which was easy to do. I also used prezi which helped me creatively present my work using different themes, I had the otioons of including sound in the background of my prezi and i was able to link YouTube videos and pictures. i used Microsoft throughout the process of creating my blog to have a saved version of my work to prevent losing my work. 

Digital technology

we used three different types of technologies which helped put our final products together; two cameras, and i mac computer and a pc and final an i phone camera.

Digital software

We used Photoshop which is to help create a professional Digipack, front cover and advert. this software is used by professionals which is why we decided it would we the best place to edit our images. As our main task was to create a music video, we needed to creates an edited video which helped tell the story of our chosen song, final cut pro was the  best software to use. we also used it for our other post such as our 3 focus groups and directors commentary.

Evaluation question 3

How did i gather my audience feedback?
to collect my audience feedback I used 2 different ways to do this. First I used a questionnaire to get the audience answer our questions in order for us to improve our product. and comment of what feature our product they may like of dislike.
we also received constant feedback from our teacher to help improve our blog work and final product which helped create a professional product. one teacher one teacher said "the start of the music video made me cry" this shows our music video we were effective in creating our music video as that was our goal, for our viewers to sympathise with our female character.

some of the common comments we received include;
"the pill was so cool"
" I love the replay and part "
" my favourite part is the beginning, its so sad "

we also used a camera to record potential target audience to review the different stages of our music videos in our focus group. 
we received a lot of positive comments which was great 

EVALUATION 2: HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY TEXT? VOICE RECORDING/VIDEO

My coursework  required my group and I to create an Music video along with an ancillary task, Digi-pack and advert. the combination of these products helped appeal to my target audience. by having an ancillary text we were able to presentationally promote our main product.

throughout all our text, to promote the album, the use of colour was very important. we decided to use a dark tone to reinforce the albums concept, and help narrate the story of the heart broken female 1. in the ancillary text of our Digi pack and advert,, the use of colour is visually similar and by using this, it allow us to synergy and connects the products together. one the audience sees the connections between my final products, its easy to link to my music video.

we chose to use the same fonts for our  and changed the size to suit the style of advertising, this was suitable to help the audience recognise the link between the three products (digi pack, front cover, and advert). 

the use of locations in our product in our main text helped decided where our advert main image and both images on our digi packs, in front of the tree was where we first met the female charater in our music video so we felt that to show the importance of her role, we should show the importance of the location.
